Perhaps the strangest story I have ever read?

The Times today contained perhaps the oddest story I have ever read in a newspaper. Apparently one of the latest developments in Japan has been for erotic ear cleaning by girls dressed as French Maids. Customers lie down, resting their heads on the lap of their maid, who then cleans their ears using a bamboo crochet hook. Sessions cost £20 for half-an-hour. Just when you think that nothing can really surprise you any more . . . .

An online search also reveals that Tokyo has many "maid cafes" where the waitresses dress up. Even New York has one, though I didn't come across it when we were there recently.

All this is as good an excuse as any for another picture of an maid - this one looks a bit like Christine, the czech girl that was on my yoga teacher training course a couple of years ago
